The F-gas certification is a mandatory document that certifies the personnel and companies that manage the fluorinated gases (f-gases) responsible for the greenhouse effect.
This serves to ensure a higher quality of work and obtain greater customer satisfaction and a guarantee of the professionalism of those who work in this sector.
The prevention of fluorinated gas emissions is considered a priority, for this reason ad hoc rules and regulations have been issued which also indicate the methods for preventing and controlling these emissions. Some activities identified to achieve this result are:
- the application of leak detection systems on the various equipment
- the keeping of records, for each piece of equipment, on which to report the following information:
-
- the amount and type of fluorinated greenhouse gases;
- quantities of fluorinated greenhouse gases added during installation, maintenance or service or due to leaks;
- whether the quantities of fluorinated greenhouse gases installed have been recycled or reclaimed, including the name and address of the recycling or reclamation facility and, where applicable, the certificate number;
- the quantities of fluorinated greenhouse gases recovered;
- the identity of the company that installed, assisted, maintained and repaired or decommissioned the equipment, including the relevant certificate number;
- the dates and results of the checks carried out
- if the equipment has been decommissioned, the measures taken to recover and dispose of the F-gases
- The labeling of products and equipment that contain, or whose functioning depends on, fluorinated greenhouse gases.
